Cotswolds Cottage
Our clients entrusted us with renovating their country cottage to create a brighter, more spacious home for their family and pets.
Collaborating with an architect for the kitchen extension, our focus was on seamlessly blending the new structure with charm while being sympathetic to the original house. From cornicing to a rustic country shaker kitchen and soft bench seating, every detail was considered to enhance warmth.
Embracing the cottage's low ceilings and darkness, we adorned the hallway with small leaf print wallpaper to soften and complement the natural surroundings. In the drawing room, where light struggled to penetrate, we embraced a palette of rich, earthy tones and designed bespoke joinery to display their extensive book collection while also providing seating for a study space.
Nestled within the pitched roof extension, we wanted the master bedroom to feel less angular, so we enveloped the walls in leaf-print wallpaper. Here, the lines softened, giving way to gentle curves and an overall sense of escapism.
